I have probably known Don Rodgers for over 42 years through his youngest son Graham. Every young person knows that the parents of your friends are 1, older, 2, have a different view to you, 3, have forgotten they were once young, 4, scary, 5, so best avoid at all times. BUT NOT Don and Ros. Don was always approachable, entertaining, funny and now that I think of it I know nothing about planes, trains and automobiles ( good film ) as well as motorbikes, helicopters, weapons, engineering or mechanical to discuss with him or Graham either. Once at school I had to do a project in Building Tech ( not a clue why that subject was chosen ) but Don helped me with a full folder of Stanley tools leaflets. Years later I will always treasure taking him and the family on a tour of The Palace of Westminster via a glass of wine in a parliamentary bar. Happy times also at The Cavendish Hotel, Baslow on the Chatsworth estate and not on the tv programme Shameless as I once thought. Don was a gent and what a TEAM with Ros. My deepest sympathy to Ros, Greg, Graham and family. Don is no longer in pain and is reunited with his beloved Mum and Dad XXX XXX also Midge. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace. God Bless. Love always Mark Williams
